Crida silicone vacuum casting plastic parts is an advanced process suitable for small batch production and prototyping. The process starts with the production of the master mold. According to the 3D design drawings, the master mold is completed by CNC machining or 3D printing (such as SLA, SLS technology). Then the silicone mold is made, the silicone is evenly poured around the master mold, the air is removed by vacuum equipment, and then placed in a 40°C oven for 8-16 hours (the time varies depending on the size of the mold). Finally, the vacuum casting process is carried out. The resin is injected into the vacuum cavity mold under computer control. After injection, the secondary curing is completed. Small parts take 1-3 hours and large parts take 3-6 hours to cure. The parts can be demoulded and taken out for recycling.
The vacuum casting process can accurately reproduce the characteristics and details of parts and produce finished products with smooth surfaces and similar injection molding effects. Compared with large-scale production methods such as injection molding, it is less expensive and more suitable for small-batch manufacturing needs. It has a short production cycle, fast response speed, and high design flexibility, and can achieve complex shapes and bottom-cut structures.
