The process known as CNC machining, or Computer Numerical Control machining, entails the
automatic removal of material from raw stock based on instructions generated by a computer.
This method is applicable to a wide range of materials, spanning from expanded polyurethane
foam to nickel superalloys. CNC machining finds typical applications in fabricating components,
crafting ornamental furniture, and manufacturing turbine blades.
The cost of CNC machining is intricately tied to considerations such as the required precision,
surface quality, quantity, material type, and the overall complexity of the part.
Product Details
CNC turning is a versatile machining process that can effectively work with various materials.
These materials include metals like aluminum, steel, brass, and titanium, as well as plastics
such as acrylic, nylon, and polycarbonate.
Common Materials | |
Name | Description |
Aluminum | High machinability and ductility, good strength-to-weight ratio. |
Stainless steel | High tensile strength, corrosion and temperature resistant. |
Mild steel | High machinability and weldability, high stiffness. |
Brass | Low friction, excellent electrical conductivity, golden appearance. |
Copper | Excellent thermal and electrical conductivity. |
Titanium | Excellent strength to weight ratio, used in aerospace, automotive and medical industries. |

Typical Applications of CNC Turning
CNC turning services stand at the forefront of various industries, particularly in the transportation
sector encompassing aerospace, automotive, mass transit, rail and locomotive, military,
and trucking.
These services are integral to the creation of transportation equipment, including headnuts, gear
blanks, bearing blocks, levers, axles, and rotors, utilizing the precision of CNC machines.
In the construction industry, CNC turning is employed to manufacture robust bolts and screws
from materials like stainless steel and aluminum, catering to the demanding requirements of
heavy-duty applications.
Additionally, CNC turning services contribute significantly to the automotive sector, producing
essential components such as cylinder heads, connecting rods, camshafts, shafts, rings, sway
bars, control arms, tie rod ends, bushings, and bolts.
The aviation industry, known for its exacting standards, relies on CNC turned parts for probes,
joint connectors, fasteners, and engine and aircraft components, often opting for titanium due to
its resilience in extreme temperature conditions.

FAQ's
1. What are you shipping terms?
Our standard shipping terms, applicable to both rapid prototyping and regular production orders,
are Ex Works (EXW). Under these terms, the customer assumes responsibility for shipping, customs
clearance, and all associated fees once the goods have left our premises.
For express shipments, we follow the Delivered Duty Unpaid (DDU) model, placing the onus on the
client to pay import duty upon the goods reaching their destination.
2. Does you provide export molds?
Absolutely, we offer export molds. However, it's important to understand that our tooling is crafted
to be in line with our Modular Unit Dies (MUD). This means that the tools come in a standardized
base size, and customers need to be prepared to receive tools of that size to fit into their machines.
3. What if I am not completely satisfied with the parts I receive?
We assure the quality of our materials and workmanship based on the terms specified in the initial
order and the information you provide. Disputes arising from subjective assessments will be handled
by our management, who will act in good faith to secure your complete satisfaction.
Our sustained success hinges on earning your confidence in our ability to consistently meet and
exceed reasonable expectations.
4. Do you offer Quick-Turn CNC Machining?
Indeed! Our Quick-Turn CNC Machining services provide fast lead times for parts, with many available
within 3-4 days. We also offer an expedite option, and our team is dedicated to working closely with
you to meet your most pressing deadlines.
