Stainless Steel Custom Spare Parts Lathe Turning Part Manufacturer CNC
Machining Service
CNC, an abbreviation for computer numerical control, defines the underlying technology in CNC
machining, a process where machining operations are controlled and directed by a computer.
Through computerized automation, CNC machining enables the swift production of parts with
enhanced speed, accuracy, precision, and the ability to accommodate intricate geometries that
surpass the capabilities of manual machining.
Additionally, CNC machining alleviates the manual labor involved in machining tasks, which would
otherwise be performed by humans. Even though individuals are not directly engaged in physically
machining each part, their involvement is indispensable in the programming and operation of CNC
machines, guaranteeing the successful execution of every operation.
Product Details
CNC machining materials are generally grouped into three primary categories: plastics, soft
metals, and hard metals. This classification includes materials such as aluminum, bronze, copper,
ceramics, plywood, steel, stone, wood, zinc, and various others.
Preference is often given to materials that are considered easy to work with and possess
advantageous properties compared to alternative options.
The Most Popular Materials
Name | Characteristics |
Aluminum 6061 | Good strength-to-weight ratio, excellent machinability, low hardness |
Stainless Steel 304 | Good strength-to-weight ratio, excellent machinability, low hardness |
Brass C360 | Excellent mechanical properties, resistant to corrosion & acid, relatively difficult to machine |
ABS | Excellent impact resistance, good mechanical properties, susceptible to solvents |
Nylon (PA6 & PA66) | Excellent mechanical properties, high toughness, poor moisture resistance |
POM (Delrin) | High stiffness, excellent thermal & electrical properties, relatively brittle |
CNC Machining Tolerances
Tolerances are not standardized across all processes and materials. The final tolerances on your
part depend on various factors, such as part size, design complexity, the number and size of
features, materials used, surface finish, and the manufacturing process employed.
Once your order is confirmed, we conduct a Design for Manufacturing review to identify areas
that may need modification for better manufacturability.
CNC Turning Tolerances
Limits for nominal size | Plastics | Metals |
0.5mm* to 3mm | ±0.1mm | ±0.05mm |
Over 3mm to 6mm | ±0.1mm | ±0.05mm |
Over 6mm to 30mm | ±0.2mm | ±0.10mm |
Over 30mm to 120mm | ±0.3mm | ±0.15mm |
Over 120mm to 400mm | ±0.5mm | ±0.20mm |
Over 400mm to 1000mm | ±0.8mm | ±0.30mm |
Over 1000mm to 2000mm | ±1.2mm | ±0.50mm |
Over 2000mm to 4000mm | ±2.0mm
*Please clearly indicate tolerances for nominal sizes below 0.5mm on your technical drawing. |

FAQ's
1. Can make design drawings for me?
Unfortunately, we don't offer an independent product design service. However, for all approved
orders, we provide a Design for Manufacturing review. This involves collaborating with our clients
to enhance their 2D and 3D drawings, ensuring better manufacturability, resolving design conflicts,
and reducing production costs. Learn more about preparing your CAD drawings for manufacturing.
2. How can I ensure my design is confidential?
Rest assured about the confidentiality of your design. We are ready to formalize this commitment
by signing a Non-disclosure Agreement (NDA) with our customers.
This agreement can be initiated before the quoting process or when placing an order, providing a
clear framework for the protection of your confidential design information.
3. What type of design files does We accept for quoting?
For precise and prompt quoting, we exclusively accept 3D CAD files in STL, STEP, or IGES formats.
For 2D drawings with reference dimensions, please submit them in PDF format.
It's essential to include comprehensive manufacturing information as part of your technical
documentation. Informal communication through Whatsapp, email, etc., will not be deemed
acceptable for manufacturing purposes.
4. How long does a quotation take?
Typically, we aim to respond to Requests for Quotation (RFQ) within a few days of receipt.
In the event of any delays, rest assured that we will promptly notify you of the situation.
